Book Review: "Anchor" Yourself in for Psychological Thrills with Author Kevin R. Doyle

Be careful what you wish for...

In today's media-oriented world, everyone is scrambling for a slice of the attention pie. Kevin R. Doyle's main character Jen, has put in the work, though, clawing her way up through the newsroom hierarchy to grab her place in the spotlight—anchor for the nightly news—prime time.

Only she never figured on becoming a headline herself.

Doyle has crafted a deft psychological thriller that keeps the reader turning pages all the way through to the unexpected end.

The story may have benefitted from a bit more length as it did leave the reader with some unanswered questions. However, the missing threads did not measurable detract for enjoyment of the tale overall. If you are a fan of fast-paced police procedurals and general crime fiction, The Anchor is a riveting tale that immerses the reader in the story, keeps you guessing, and "anchors" you in for a wild ride.

A stalker would be scary but for a book it gives the story some creepy drama that I tend to like.
